Physiotherapist with special interest in acupuncture

Senior Associate

Micky is a physiotherapist with a special interest in acupuncture.  Having graduated as a physiotherapist from La Trobe University, Victoria in 1980, she commenced studying acupuncture in 1997, which she continues today.  As a holistic physiotherapist she believes the body has the ability to heal itself and it is the role of the practitioner to facilitate that process.  Nothing excites her more than getting people well physically.

Micky has trained in traditional acupuncture and undertook training in Japan.  She has special interest in treating musculoskeletal complaints, woman’s health and fertility, and paediatric disorders by regulating the autonomic nervous system.

Micky has extensive experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, including having her own private practice for 17 years.  She joined the Edgecliff practice in 2004, where her main work is in spinal and movement rehabilitation in conjunction with exercise and movement therapy.

Micky is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).  She is a committee member for the Acupuncture and Dry Needling Group (ADNG) (NSW Branch), the ADNG Subcommittee for Titling (National Group), and the Australian Society of Acupuncture Physiotherapists (ASAP).

In her leisure, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She likes reading, the opera, Iyengar yoga practice, and learning and practicing meditation.
